Thanksgiving Salad

Salad
2 Bunches Red Leaf Lettuce
1 Bunch Romaine Lettuce
2 Avocados, cubed
1 Large Pomegranate, seeded
2 Pears, cubed
1 Large Red Onion, sliced into rings
Block of Gorgonzola Cheese, crumbled
1 Bag of Almond Slivers, cooked on low with butter and heaping tsp. of sugar
2 Cans of Mandarin Oranges, drained
As an option to the lettuce, you could use 3 bags of pre-washed lettuce. I chose the Sweet Butter Blend of red and Green Butter lettuce. No carrots in the mix!! Also, you can get the pomegranate pre-seeded at Costco, or Trader Joes! No mess!
Dressing
1/2 tsp. Grated orange Peal
1/3 cup Fresh Orange Juice
2 Tbs. Red Wine Vinegar
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
2 Tbs. Sugar
1 Tbs. Good Seasoning Dry Italian Dressing Mix
Mix the dressing and let chill before your toss it with the salad just before serving.
